Being involved in a number of things keeps me sane. Some of these things are outlined below... I enjoy consulting, lecturing, spending time with my family, and - from time to time - publishing "pop-culture" products.

My consulting is in one of three areas:

(1) business & management consulting for small to medium-sized businesses. Business growth, turnarounds, business improvement but with a focus on privately owned businesses and organizations. I do this mostly through The Margin Doctors, Business & Management Consultants

(2) aboriginal economic & business development for first nations, organizations, and private businesses. I design and implement organization effectiveness programs, develop and implement programs to improve capacity, and help structure aboriginal organizations so they can increase both their capacity and their sense of accountability. I do this mostly through Kewin Consulting.

(3) policy development and implementation for regulated industries including financial services, pharmaceutical and energy production & distribution. I do this mostly on my own (through dslcs)

My lecturing is current with the Schulich School of Business, where I instruct "Restructuring and Turnaround Management", an MBA-Level course, which is offered in the Fall semester (SGMT 6970).

My publishing is a bit of a hobby. It is done through Crystal Fractal Comics right now and focused on articles and graphic novels, although we did have a television show in production for a few weeks (no longer) and we do have several novels and art books in development (ongoing process). I also have a few articles published that are more related to my other aspects (the business consulting). Some of these are still available online, a few are available in the links to the right and left of this main section, and a few are only available in paper archives of used bookstores that have magazings from the "turn of the century."

In addition to the consulting and the lecturing, I help companies (primarily consulting firms) develop tools and methodologies for decision-making, analysis, strategy development and planning. These are mostly other consulting firms, but sometimes I get involved in multi-client projects where several businesses have a common concern, and I work with them collectively, to develop a tool or methodology that they all share and use (although they usually don't share the results of using the tools... such as competition is of course). This is do primarily on my own (dslcs).

I am also involved in a number of personal things - including building a new house and spending time with my wife and our two kids.
